Is a festival where the differents association of Parla show up themselves.
LGV Gladiators make a litlle show of Gladiator's Fighting.
The show was really well received for the people and its was very different from all the others shows planned.

Medieval Festival. Brihuega 2009. (Guadalajara-Spain)
¡AVE!.
We have been in the Medieval Festival of Brihuega a vey beautiful town of the Guadalajara's region. We recommend to visit this town its has a quite big historical background an a lot of to see.It has a castle, just the exterior walls inside was empty an the people of the town used like cemetery is a very interesting an curious visit. Most of the town has a perimeter arab's wall, many churchs an a ancient synagogue a very recommend visit.

The Festival was very lively, even that we have the bad luck of a hard rain. The people of the town talk us that the hard rain is quite normal because of the special location of the town with big irregularities.

LUDUS GLADIATORIUM VULCANUM en TARRACO VIVA
¡AVE!
Aquí ponemos las fotos que hicimos durante nuestra visita a TARRACO VIVA.
Se pueden ver a los grupos de recreación histórica Legio VI Victrix (Alemania)y la Legio VII Gemina (España), además de los equites alares de TimeTrotter (Alemania).
La Legio VII Gemina traslado sus maquinas de asedio y hay bastantes fotos de ellas.
Tuvimos la suerte de poder ver a Ars Dimicandi y así podimos hacer fotos de sus combates de gladiadores.
Son bastantes fotos, pero esperamos que os resulten interesante y amenas.

LUDUS GLADIATORIUM VULCANUM en TARRACO VIVA y con SEGOVIA ROMANA
¡AVE!
Este fin de semana nos hemos ido a Tarragona a las Jornadas Internacionales de Divulgación Histórica Romana, más conocido como TARRACO VIVA.
Allí estuvimos visitando los stand que había montados y nos encotramos con el de SEGOVIA ROMANA, perteneciente al Ayuntamiento de Segovia.
Nos trataron estupendamente y nos dieron un montón de información.
Al ser nosotros de Madrid, Segovia nos pilla muy cerquita y les preguntamos sobre su próxima feria romana.
Nos confirmaron que este año se celebrará los días 18, 19 y 20 se septiembre.
Aquí os ponemos dos fotos que nos hicieron en su stand.

EXPOSICIÓN HEROES DE LA ARENA. TOLEDO.
¡AVE!
Este sabado por la tarde nos hemos ido a Toledo para visitar la Exposición
"HÉROES DE LA AREA".
Esta exposición esta ubicada en las mazmorras de La Posada de la Hermandad, por lo que confiere a la exposición una atmosfera muy especial.
Desde LGV Gladiadores (LUDUS GLADIATORIUM VULCANUM) os recomendamos esta exposición, muy amena e interesante.
La exposición consta de varias salas donde se pueden ver las armas, armaduras, escudos, así como elementos de la vida diaria y el entrenamiento de los gladiadores.
Se explican los distintos tipos de gladiadores y equipo que portaban.
También se muestra la vida diaria, el entrenamiento de los gladiadores y los premios que recibian en caso de salir victoriosos.
La exposición cuenta con una sala de visionado donde se puede ver un video explicativo sobre el mundo y los combates de gladiadores, con combates recreados por el grupo italiano de Recreación Historica Ars Dimicandi.

Day of Childrens 2009. Parla.
¡AVE!
The last 10 of May Parla celebrates the Day of Childrens.
Like past years the place choose for this celebration was the Park of Whale.
We was there with our "Gladiators School". One more year we get a very good response of the people and opinions.
All of this incentivate us a lot to continue working in making our activities more interestings and funiest for the next year.

Manufacture of a GALERUS (PAULDRON) (3)

Vulcan
We have seen Vulcan again inf our dreams, an he remmebered us that we haven't still finished the Retiario's Galerus.
We come back to work trying not to provoque his fury, in order to continue with his blessings.
We had achieve to make the form in the sheet of metal, and this was the final result.
Now we have to clean all the paint from the sheet of metal.
To do that, we use this brush an the drill.
(Dont forget to use gloves, because the brush slipping for the sheet of metal an we can get hurt)
After we remove all the paint this is the result.
Now we have the Galerus ready to fix on it the straps of fastening.
In our case we will use this old belts.
As you can see, we use 3 of them. the two of them at the top are to fix the galerus around the chest, in this case you could use only one but bigger. In our case, because we dont have a cinturon that big we use 2 differents belts, but with similar wide.
We will use the third belt in order to fix the galerus to the arm, a belt with lest wide will be enough.
Now we have to fabricate the fastenings of the belts to the sheet of metal. To do that, we cut with the drill that soak through a rectangles of metal the same shape of the belts that we are using.
Next, we turn the metal over a screwdriver for its central part.
With the help of our “anvil” and a small hammer, we turn the metal for one of it sides, in this way.
When the metal's pieces are turn, we insert the belt in the fastenings. (you will need to open the pieces a little bit with a screwdriver, and after that close them againg with a hammer).
Now, we read the measures that we need directly from the metal of the galerus, an we make the drills in order to rivet the fastenings (as we just did it with the Manicae)
When we just have the belt fasted, we will make the same operation with the others belts, an this is the result.
An we finish it. Now we just have to try it and adapt the long of the belts if they are too long.
